About The Role

As Stack Test Facility Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the facility is always ready to meet Rocket Lab’s testing requirements and ensuring the facility is operating efficiently and to Rocket Lab’s high standards at all times.

You will make a real difference. As you are helping to create the world's first mass-produced orbital launch vehicle.

Key Duties will include
  • All new designs and upgrades to meet flight schedule
  • Planning of work flow through the facility
  • Ensuring the facility is always ready to meet testing requirements
  • Ensuring the facility is built and operated to the highest standards
  • Controlling budgets once they have been approved
  • New site work and contractors
  • Ensuring safety and security is never compromised
We are thinkers and we are doers. You will be working in a very dynamic, fast pace environment of makers and problem-solvers. Using your creative and intuitive thinking to test the systems for performance and operation characteristics to capture and improve the design of the launch vehicle.

Minimum Requirements
  • Aerospace, mechanical or mechatronics engineering degree or equivalent qualification
  • 5+ years test engineering or project engineering experience
  • Experience with cryogenic systems
  • Experience with design of welded structures
  • Experience with design and operation of high pressure pneumatic systems
  • Proven experience working to deadlines in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent knowledge of instrumentation (strain gauges, pressure transducers, temperature sensors, etc).
  • Proven communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
  • A methodical, careful and tidy work ethic
  • Previous experience with National Instruments hardware and DAQ systems would be a plus
  • Previous experience with Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks would be a plus
