About The Role
Working as part of the Vehicle Team you will be dedicated full time to the assembly of the many technical subcomponents of the rocket ranging from tanks, valves, pressurization system, electronics and engines to name a few. You will also be responsible for entire assembly of the stages that make up this launch vehicle. You will also be certifying the launch vehicles assembly prior to each test and flight. You will work closely with other engineering professionals to capture and improve the design, manufacturing and operation of the engine to ensure the performance of the electron launch vehicle is achieved.
We are looking for thinkers and doers to work in a very dynamic, fast pace environment, you will be challenged on a daily basis and to succeed you will need to be able to learn quickly and utilize your own initiative whilst working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
You don’t need to rocket experience prior to applying for this role (although that would be nice) a good background in machine building would be suitable. Rockets are technical machines with a range of different components so anyone capable of working
- To be trade qualified with experience relevant to the position
- 5+ years industry experience
- Proven communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
- Experience with assembly and maintenance procedures
- Capable building complex engineering machines
- Experience with TIG welding preferable
- Capable with manual workshop machinery
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proven experience working to deadlines
